Busways took delivery of some of the first Custom Denning Element buses for Sydney based at its Penrith depot. This is 5003 (MO8419) new towards the end of 2021 seen at Penrith Station in January 2023.

Most of the initial Elements were at the depot being charged or simply resting. On the extreme left on "Breathe easy" all over blue is 5002 (MO8428), after the gap is 5006 (MO8422) with blue 5001 (MO9184) alongside, beyond is 5008 (MO8474). The second half of the batch (5006-5011) arrived mid 2022. Numerically they were followed by half a dozen Yutong E12 electrics, built in 2021 but not put into service till around Easter 2023.

Up the line was 5009 (MO9188) alongside 5002 with 5006 and 5001 beyond.

Having taken a number of Yutongs and Custom Denning Element electric buses, plus some Element 2 models transferred from Transit Systems, Busways took delivery of new Volgren Optimus bodied Volvo BZL electrics in 2025, like 5032 (MO8901), seen at the Sydney Busfest in November that year. Four electrics were gathered at one end of the display under a canopy, which unfortunately had them in the shade, at least the rear offside of Busways 5032 was in the sun.
