Carousel Alexander Dennis Enviro200MMC 453
As the school summer term ended in 2024, Arriva the Shires closed its Wycombe and Aylesbury depots. Carousel seized the opportunity to take over the majority of Wycombe services that it did not already operate, the noteable exceptions being the 300 service to Aylesbury which Redline took on alongside its faster 130 service linking the two towns and the 40 to Thame which associated Red Rose had taken over from Carousel earlier. Operations out of Aylesbury were mopped up by the Red Group. Carousel needed a number of extra buses to take on the work and some were loaned initially and others transferred permanently within the Oxford group. Others were purchased. From Thames Travel came a handful of Alexander Dennis Enviro200MMC buses like 453 (YX69NVK) seen in October 2024 about to climb Castle Street. It is in the special livery for the Harwell Connector service linking Oxford and Newbury via Harwell launched in 2023. It has since been treated to Carousel Country colours.

Here is 451 a few hours later on Castle Street with the Parish Church on the right. It is on the 34, which was the then replacement for the PR1 and one of the many iterations of the service linking the Coachway with the town. It continues from the Coachway at Handy Cross to Lane End village.
