TRAX TX20 Newcastle Mercedes Benz Mark III. In mid-1981 the State Transit Authority of NSW awarded the tender for 100 single-deck and 30 articulated vehicles to Mercedes Benz. Mercedes Benz buses had already been in service in the seventies and this new delivery of buses, the Mark III, saw some minor revisions to the bodywork by PMC. Now, you can update your fleet of NSW Government buses with this true-to-life replica of the Mercedes Mark III single-deck bus bound for Newcastle. Route 327 takes passengers from Speers Point via Gates Head through to the CBD of Newcastle on the NSW Central Coast. In addition to the Newcastle Buses branding is a circular NSW Police label on the right side of the windscreen, just as it appeared on the original bus. The Mark III Newcastle Buses featured flashing amber lights either side of the route number display on the front and rear of the bus. Model released in August 2012.
