In 1949 the first Bristol Lodekka took to the road in the shape of the Bristol Tramways & Carriage Company's (later known as Bristol Omnibus Co) LC5000 (LHY949).
SHOWBUS 1999 celebrated 50 years of the Lodekka with a special display of preserved models - and some still in service. Models range from the early LD-series to the later flat floor forward entrance models, captured for posterity in a variety of liveries by EFE. The winning Lodekka at SHOWBUS on September 26th, Hants & Dorset GLJ748D, received a cheque from Dennis - makers of the Lodekka under licence, as the Loline - and a specially mounted EFE model. |

 13905 EASTERN COUNTIES Bristol Lodekka FLF6G ECW Painted in the familiar Tilling red livery, this Lodekka, FLF446, can be seen on route 509 to Bowthorpe.  13912 CITYBUS Hong Kong Bristol Lodekka FLF6G ECW Citybus commissioned this Bristol Lodekka in their bright yellow livery. The vehicle was modified to allow more ventilation in the hot humid climate of Hong Kong with the addition of full depth horizontal sliding windows, apart from this the bus appeared unchanged. The registration number later passed to a Stagecoach Western vehicle.
