Premier Travel Ltd. was founded in 1936 with the combination of three travel operators, Undergraduate Roadways, Harston & District and Royal Blue Cambridge. The driving force being Undergraduate Roadways a successful company run by undergraduates from Cambridge University operating on a 'Permit to Hire' basis placing private hire contracts with local bus and coach companies. The company has been through many changes. Four of EFE's Premier Travel models have been produced as special releases for the Exclusive First Editions Showbus Rally. The exception to this was the Harrington Grenadier which they chose to produce in an unusual colour variation of their livery. In this unusual livery, it was this vehicle that was actually measured to produce the model cast of the Grenadier.
