First Berkshire Platinum Jubilee Bus

 Many bus companies painted vehicles to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II ascending to the throne in 1952, making 2022 Her Platinum Jubilee. First Berkshire adapted their then standard First group livery by replacing the blue front with a similar shade of metallic blue and the purple rear by a richer metallic purple. A few contrasting fine strpes were added together with suitable decals. The bus chosen was Wright Streetlite DF 63313 (SM65LNH) which had been new to Beeline. It is seen in High Wycombe High Street in March with a Carousel Scania Omnidekka behind.

 Back in the High Street the bus is on the X74 to Slough.

 In June the bus was seen near the fire damaged Slough Bus Station on route 8 to Heathrow via Windsor.

 The bus was seen again June 2023 on the 8 returning from Windsor to Slough. In common with many Platinum Jubilee buses, the sad passing of Her Majesty before the end of the Jubilee year resulted n removal of the Jubilee branding or modification to commemorate Her Service. Streetlite 63313 lost the wording but continued in its special livery for months to come.

 Seen again in May 2025 63313 was heading into Slough on the 8 from Heathrow. The metallic blue on the front betraying its lost Royal connection.
