Stagecoach stripes made a big impact on the X38 linking Exeter and Plymouth when full sized coaches (B10M/Plaxtons) joined the fleet shortly after acquisition by Stagecoach. One of the fleet is seen here at the Plymouth Bretonside terminus. Later operations included use of some of Stagecoach's articulated coaches.

This Plaxton bodied Volvo B10M, with cherished plate CSU992, made the journey from Exeter to Millennium Showbus at Duxford. New to Stagecoach East Kent as 8409 (M409BFG) the coach later ended up with that registration as 52219 with Stagecoach East London Coaches.

 Twelve years later 805, renumbered 52345 in Stagecoach's national numbering scheme, had gained the latest version of Stagecoach's livery, but had been relegated to driver training duties. It is seen in the coach park at Exeter Bus Station. Picture ref A76 |  |
 In February 2016 Stagecoach invested £2.5m in launching the Falcon express service between Plymouth and Bristol via - amongst other places - Bristol Airport. This, 54319 (YY65VXU) is one of the fleet of stylish Plaxton Elite bodied coaches that launched the route. It is seen in Bristol City Centre in August 2019 preparing to head back to Plymouth. At one stage Flacon was bookable via the Megabus website, but as Megabus faded away so did that link. Like Megabus though it is a kerbside service and does not use Marlborough Street Bus Station.
