Parking is free DE74 2RN for SATNAV From the south via A42 Leave the A42 at Junction 13 by Ashby-de-la-Zouch, left on to the A511/A512  Within a short distance turn right on to the B587 to Melbourne  After 2 miles, don't miss the left hand turn for Melbourne  Follow the route through Melbourne village: High Street, Market Place, Derby Road, Chapel Street, Station Road, Melbourne Road.  Once on Melbourne Road it is less than a mile to the Car Park entrance on the left. From the west via A50 Leave the A50 at Junction 3 following signs for A514 (B587) Melbourne over Swarkstone Bridge.  The B587 becomes the main road with the A514 to Swadlincote becoming a right turn off the B587. Stick with the B587.  Turn off the B587, effectively heading straight on at this junction on to Main Road through King's Newton, skirting north of Melbourne. You will eventually meet a T-junction where you turn left on to Melbourne Road, less than a mile to the SHOWBUS Car Park. From Junction 24 (A50) of the M1. If travelling by car via the M1 you are advised to exit at Junction 24, ignore the brown signs for Donington Park at junction 1 on the A50, but follow the blue SHOWBUS signs travel along the A50 to junction 3. Then follow the directions as above for "west via A50".  If you try to approach from the east you will get caught up in the exhibitor traffic and may end up going through the wrong gate, being sent back out and causing some mayhem in the process! Signage from junction 23 of the M1 will direct you past the main entrance to Donington Park Race Circuit (a mile away from the SHOWBUS site), through Castle Donington to join the A50 at its junction 1. |
