SHOWBUS is back at Donington Park for 2018

Our venue is Donington Park, the first permanent Park Circuit in the UK and home to the largest showcase of Grand Prix racing cars in the world. SHOWBUS visitors will get half price admission to the F1 and Wheatcroft military collections on proof of entry.
The venue is not the race track itself but an adjacent purpose built site owned by the Park and immediately to its west.
The site boasts over 40 000 square metres of tarmac and separate entrances for cars and exhibitors.
There will be several special attractions, including a major display of Bristol chassied buses and coaches to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the manufacturer. Some will have fond memories of the display at SHOWBUS for their centenary in 2008.
We are also celebrating 50 years since the formation of British Leyand and extend a warm welcome to any cars and trucks bearing the BL circular motif to join this display.
It is 40 years since the MCW Metrobus entered service, so we will enjoy a special Metrobus display.
Coach operators will be able to combine a visit to Showbus with the nearby shopping centres and attractions of Nottingham, Leicester or Derby.
A brochure, as usual stuffed with pictures will be available for 2018. The entry list will be lavishly illustrated and their will be feature articles which will include brief histories of Bristol Commercial Vehicles and British Leyland. All entrants will receive a free limited edition version, but for those buying the standard edition it may have a lucky number linked to some special prizes.


Showbus is an event that has, and always will be, run for enthusiasts by enthusiasts. We aim to stage an event that is unrivalled and hope that the new venue will offer our visitors value for money as well as a new range of displays and attractions.

BUS SERVICES.
There is an elcetric service from East Midlands Parkway Station every 20 minutes - with a gap at lunchtime - with BYD electric buses from Nottingham Community Transport's fleet. Not only does the service connect with trains from London and the north bus also Megabus' megabusplus service.
Half hourly "skylink" services from Coalville, Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough and Leicester stop outside the entrance to Donington Park. A free shuttle provided by the NCT East Midlands Parkway service will transfer visitors to the SHOWBUS entrance within the Donington complex.
The nearby East Midlands Airport is served by National Express routes as well as Air France, Aurigny, BH Air, BMI, Eastern, FlyBE, Jet2 and Ryanair. Visitors can catch the "skylink" to Donington and board the frequent free shuttle bus to SHOWBUS. Click here for BUS TIMES
There will be opportunities to ride on selected entries, to nearby Melbourne and Castle Donington, subject to accessibility.
The site opens to members of the public at 9.30am on Sunday September 30th.

How much?
We have revised our admission charges this year, reducing the headline prices and bringing in concession rates for the first time. This does make change giving more problematical, so kindly try and have the correct change available.
Anyone under 5 is allowed in for FREE.
Anyone 5 or over and under 16, pays £5.
Anyone producing a valid bus ticket from skylink, National Express or the EM Parkway Shuttle will only pay £10 admission.
Concessions £13 (with brochure £17). Concession prices are available to anyone with a UB40 card or concessionary bus pass.
Standard admission on the day £14 (with brochure £18).
Carer for disabled visitor: Free (one per disabled visitor)
Family (2 adult/up to 4 children) £30 - (with 2 brochures £35).

Brochures if bought separately £5, Two brochures £7.

Advance purchase £11 (with brochure £15) will be available from July 1st till August 31st.

A limited VIP package will be available - details later.

Late entry (after 1500h) to view exit parade £5, under 16 free

Separate charges apply for visiting the Grand Prix collection, expected to be half the normal price for SHOWBUS visitors.
Car parking is free.

For those arriving on a SHOWBUS exhibit there are specially reduced entry prices which also apply to large parties & excursions.
