Helicopter Attack survived
In case you were wondering why there has been a bit of a delay in getting Showbus off the ground this
year, we have been under a bit of a cloud, but not of our usual 'rain' variety. This time we have been
under attack from helicopters! Some may remember days at Hillingdon, when helicopters staged
a mock raid on the bus rally field! This time, a huge helicopter commercial exhibition, Helitech, is being
put on at Duxford the week after Showbus. Preparations for the exhibition include permanent relocation
of aircraft exhibits into an area where the buses are normally parked. We have been in long negotiations
with the Duxford authorities and are pleased to say we have agreed plans to use the site in a different
layout to normal, but which should allow Showbus to go ahead as usual. We will be releasing entry forms,
stall holder booking forms, site layout arrangements in detail in the next few weeks.
Some of you may know that the future of EFE is also in the balance, but we hope to have some positive news on that
too very soon.
