 Standing out like a sore thumb was the only non-Mercedes coach in the fleet, a King Long 6102AU, 10 (BS03UN) new in 2018 to GLV Coaches in Melbourne. Seating only 41, this was probably what triggered the non standard coach and unusual secondhand purchase. It is seen at the depot on that wet day in May 2017.

 In March 2019 Melbourne and Victoria were suffering from the annual Easter disruptions to the urban and regional rail network so Mercedes 06 was seen in Flinders Street drafted in on rail replacement work.
