Transperth Scania BR112MH Bolton 14
Unique in the Transperth fleet was 14 (UQB014) a Scania BR112MH with Bolton bodywork seen here in August 1989. The chassis designation will be familiar to some as the basis for the MCW Metro-Scania singledeck model.

Transperth Leyland B21 Hilquip 31
Also at work in 1989 was 31 (UQB031), one of twenty Leyland B21s with bodies by Hilquip. The Leyland B21 was a Leyland National subframe designed for bodying overseas instead of the complete vehicle assembled in Workington, UK.

Transperth Leyland Panther Porter Shine on Perth City Clipper 970
Predating the city CAT free services, Perth's central area free services were branded "City Clippers". Several liveries were tried including route specific ones, but as is so often the case it proved difficult to keep the right coloured buses on the right routes - see Arriva in High Wycombe! Leyland Panther 970 (UQB970) is on the "Yellow Clipper" but in a mostly blue generic "Clipper" livery with "Shine on Perth" branding too.
