 Approaching the Chapel Street stop on the Dandenong Highway reserved track in March 2019, Combino 3501, in a wrap for Muriel's Wedding is closely followed by Z3 car 128. Routes 5 and 64 follow broadly the same route from the city as far as Malvern, but for years the trams are timed within minutes of each other, leaving a long gap between the next pair. A similar situation exists on routes 3 and 16.
