The Bumblebees were often seen, particularly out of peak time, parked at the far end of Southbank depot on the extension yard on the tracks built the other side of Montague Street. Resting there in March 2013 is Bumblebee 5 with two others.

When the E class trams started to enter service around Christmas 2013 the Bumblebees found themselves spending more time in that yard. In April 2014 four are in this line up headed by Bumblebee 2, 5113. A spare Class W City Circle car is alongside, this yard extension is often home to them too.

Out on the city streets that month, but out of service was Bumbebee 5.

Two Bumblebees, 2 left, 5 right, were sharing the yard extension with Class W 884 in January 2013 when the W class still operated route 30.

In December 2014 5123 was seen at night headed to the city on St Kilda Esplanade followed by a D1 Combino on the 16 - they always come in pairs, even at night when the frequency is lower. The trams had shed their bee skins after six years and emerged in PTV livery. As a reminder of their history buzzing along the streets of Melbourne a bee motif has been applied to the cab, with the tram's Bumblebee number.
