Yarra Trams Siemens Combino Rhino 3529
To try and make other road users, especially pedestrians, aware that trams are big, heavy and cannot stop readily, the analogy of a rhino on a skateboard was drawn. Siemens Combino 3529 was seen on St Kilda Road in December 2012 covered in skateboarding rhinos as part of the campaign.

The rhino tram was seen again that month on Glenferrie Road in Malvern.

Yarra Trams Citadis 3005 Rhino
Citadis 3005 had also joined the rhinocampaign when seen in Februaly 2014. It is seen at the St Kilda terminus of the 112 (since renumbered 12) usually the preserve of the Class A and occasional Class B trams. The temporary barriers hint that it was not a normal day in St Kilda. It was the weekend of the St Kilda Fetsival with tousands making their way to the shoreline. The normal 3A, 16 and 96 trams are turned short as their rouet along the Esplanade is closed to traffic and trams for the duration, a champagne bar spanning the tracks at one point.
