Cambus benefitted from events in London in two ways. A large batch of Northern Counties bodied Olympians were diverted to it in 1996 (the P-EFL batch) then more followed a few years later after serving in the capital. Two can be seen in teh "special liveries" section presssed into service in Cambridge still in London red. Here former VN8 (P808GMU) is seen in Cowley Road in summer 2006.
Sister vehicle 16023, ex London VN23, is also seen in Cowley Road in the same day. Though both buses had been through red London livery, Stagecoach stripes and the subsequent livery, the destination blind boxes had remained standard London design.
