Newer Dennis Dart low floor buses generally have the Pointer 2 version of the Plaxton body. Early Dart SLF buses had a modified version of the original Pointer body, but it never looked as good as on the step entrance buses. The Pointer 2, as seen on this MPD Dart suits the chassis well. Headed for Hengrove depot from Colstan Avenue is 42709 (R709BAE).

This newer Dart is a 37 seater and was built in the Alexander Dennis era shortly before the Enviro200 model replaced it. Pointer Dart 42952 (WX06OMJ) is seen on the same day in March 2011. Colston Hall, dating from 1867, can be seen behind on the left. The live music venue, owned by the City Council, was renamed the Bristol Beacon in response to the woke movement attempting to rewrite history by editing out references to the bits it does not like!

Nearby in St Augustine's Place was Wright Eclipse Gemini bodied Volvo B9TL 37332 (WX57HKN).

At the same location was Plaxton Pointer 2 bodied Dennis Dart SLF 42722 (S722AFB).

Also there was Alexander ALX400 bodied Volvo B7TL 32002 (W802PAE) which went on to see out its days by the sea, being coverted to open top, repainted blue, rebranded Coaster and allocated to Weston-super-Mare with new registration RKZ4760.
