Buses of Somerset was a bold move by First as an operation that completely did away with the corporate livery and Ray Stenning's Best Impressions was brought in to design the new image, instead of First's usual team. Of course it took some time before the Taunton based operation had completely dismissed the old "Barbie" colours and vehicle transfers still disrupt the overall appearance. At work on rail replacemnent duties for First Great Western in Bath in August 2015 was Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident 32872 (HIG1521). The bus was new to First Capital as TN872 (V872HBY) in 1999 passing to First Devon & Cornwall in 2009. It was repainted green in 2013 and was eventually retired in 2018 passing to Style Cars & Vans in Devon who repainted it red, but it scrapped in Yorkshire in 2020.

Displayed at the Barry Island Cardiff bus rally in June 2016 was this Wright bodied Volvo B10BLE, 62192 (OIG1792) which had a checkered past! It was new as 686 (X686ADK) to First Manchester but it also served First Aberdeen, believed to be its previous operator, but has also seen service with First PMT in a mainly pink livery as a driver trainer.
