The rally display area fills up with vehicles returning from Sinsheim. The vintage FBW is in the foreground with the Saurer 3 C-H behind, but in the distance is a familiar site to British eyes: a Bristol Lodekka. The FLF originated with Wilts & Dorset. Its roof has been slightly lowered to the European maximum height of 4 metres. The bus had been modified for use by Kleins Raben Linie as one of several mobile hospitality units.

A pair of Setra S6s retaking their positions in the Speyer arena. The green one dates from 1959 and the red from 1958.

Many of the continental preserved vehicles have acquired registrations matching their build year, but this pair have a matching regsitrations MEOLDI 1 and MEOLDI 2. MEOLDI 1 is a 1955 Austrian built Steyr 380Q and MEOLDI 2 another Mercedes O321H this time dating from 1964. Both are owned by Kerschner Reisen.

One relatively modern vehicle at Speyer was Neoplan N138/4 Jumbocruiser. It is a testament to Neoplan design that it probably comes as a shock when it is realised that the bendicoach is 28 years old.
