Ganz tram 1478 is seen in Blaha Lujza Square in June 2006. The Square was the southern terminus of the 4-6 tram route. Passengers detrammed and transferred to a fleet of waiting bendibuses which completed the route across the Danube to the terminus at Moricz Zs Korter.

The busy scene at Blaha Lujza Square is evident in this afternoon rush hour view on June 2nd. Two trams in the centre load and off load. On the right a silver striped artic has just off loaded and is about to pass behind the two trams to turn and join the line of artics seen on the left taking it in turn to load to complete the 4-6 route. The tram on the left will come forward, switch tracks and drive back to replace the loading tram on the right.

The orange notice advises passengers of what is happening. The upheaval is due to roadworks in preparation for the new Siemens "Combino Supra Budapest" trams due to enter service in July. Sets are being relayed, new shelters installed and kerbs raised to the Combinos' low floor access level.
