ATM turned to Mercedes for the ubiquitous Citaro for its articulated buses starting in 2008. The initial batch of thirty (2900-2929) was followed by two batches of twenty in 2009 and a further five in 2011. This is 2964 of the third batch in the centre of the city in October 2015.

Maybe the Irisbus days are over. Two batches of Solaris Urbino 12 buses have followed the last Citalis deliveries, 125 joining the fleet by 2016. Seen at the San Siro Stadium is 6678.
