One of the first London Routemaster advert buses was for Yellow Pages - but nothing quite as stark as 1988 Coachwork International bodied MAN SL202 1744 (OC4044) seen in Auckland Bus Station.

Sister vehicle 1738 (NX1738) was in an equally garish scheme for Milo, a chocolate milk drink.

In April 2005 a small batch of electric vehicles was in use on a downtown free circular service. The buses were built completely by New Zealand's own Designline with the brand name Omnicity. Stagecoach were inpressed enough to order ten for use in the UK in Newcastle for a Tyne riverfront service. Christchurch also had a batch and was obviously experiencing operating difficulties as only one of their three was in service when observed in April 2005. Auckland's were a little more successful, but still needed replacement by conventional buses at times. Above is 102 (BFX273) leaving the new Bus Station. |

Two of the Omnicities are seen on charge at the Shore depot. |
