 In 2013 AC Transit reverted to Gillig which coincided with New Flyer taking over NABI who had been supplier of choice since 1997. In 2016 the first hybrid Gillig Advantages were delivered and 1575 is seen here in the temporary Bay Transit Terminal in June 2017.

 From the first batch of sixteen Gillig Advantages delivered in 2013 is 6109. Another 64 in the reverse livery (1302-1365) also arrived in 2013. The bus is seen in the temporary Bay Transit Terminal the day after 1575. Note the "BUILT LOCALLY" lettering above the windows. It is believed AC Transit received some criticism from its purchaces of Van Hools built in Belgium, especially as the purchase did not qualify for government subsidy. Despite purchases of several New Flyer buses, local Gillig models still feature in new purchases.
