 Seen in July 1986 was the first of 109 AMG Metropolitan ETB trolleybuses, 900, all new in 1979.. |

Nearly twenty years later in August 2004 things had changed in Seattle. Simple Metro branding had been dropped in favour of King County Metro, the AM General buses and trolleys had both gone and one hundred Gillig Phantom ETB trolleybuses, like 4121, had ousted the AMG Metropolitans.

 The sixth King County Gillig Phantom ETB, 4105, seen downtown, was delivered in 2001, the batch delivery completed the following year. |

Later that day, sister vehicle 4148 was seen downtown on the same route.
