 Early one morning late August 2008 before the rush hour and the tourists arrive and the cable car is out of action: the cable between downtown and the Cable Car Sheds has broken. Around the corner NABI 416 8023 is providing a replacement bus service from downtown to the Sheds. Unfortunately the bus is a block away from the Powell & Market terminus and the £19 POLK Navy Yard" destination does little to announce its intentions!  |
 NABI 416 8026 was also deployed on the replacement cable car service and is seen at the Cable Car Sheds terminus where passengers transferred to the active cable cars for the ongoing services to Fishermans Wharf or Bay & Taylor. The "Shuttle" destination was a little more helpful. |
