The bus is seen later on display in the afternoon, with the destination changed to Victoria where it no doubt rubbed shoulders with Thames Valley's coach Lodekkas from Reading. The key difference between the two companies is that Eastern National's have a dedicated luggage space at the rear downstairs, where the windows are opaque. |

Seen at Southend depot back in the early seventies is 2610 (AVW401F), another of the batch of extended FLF Lodekka coaches for express services to London. The final window bays are extra long which signifies the additional length. Central SMT had a large fleet of similar buses.

The previous year the centenary of Bristol bus production was celebrated with this line up of half cabs in front of the American Air Museum. Alongside open top KSW5G 2382 (WNO478) is Eastern Counties' highbridge K5G 133 (HPW133) with equally high Lincolnshire K6A 2115 (DBE187) the other side of the Westcliff K5G. |
