In the early sixties Essex was running out of registration numbers, and hitherto unissued marks, OO and WC, were released. Hence OO9543 was the registration allocated
to the 'new' style Bristol MW6G/ECW 557 in 1962, seen here on a private hire in Langley in Buckinghamshire. The style of body went through the transformation as seen on 312 above and yet another before the model disappeared in favour of the larger RELH when length restrictions were relaxed.
