Interlinked with the contract for the 275 were journeys serving Henley, Watlington and the villages around them. This was the reason why the Oxford - Wycombe shoppers bus could not be daily originally. Here Red Rose's other Solo, MX03EJY, is seen in Watlington High Street on the 124 bound for Henley.
The Henley terminus of the 124 was the railway station, though the Tesco store would probably have generated more traffic, but that's what you get when Council's plan services rather than operators with a commercial eye. The destination is correct, as on a Saturday the 124 works across to Henley via Watlington from Thame and the final return journey to Thame then continues to Oxford vaguely along the 275 route to do the normal early evening return journey to High Wycombe.
Earlier on the day - these pictures were taken in December 2003 - MX03EJY is posed at Lewknor's Leathern Bottle.
Solo MX03EJY stops again at the Leathern Bottle, bound for Thame.
Another view of MX03 at Northend, again between Watlington and Thame.
