In 1983 the Thames Valley tradition of doubledeckers on the London services was kept alive with ECW coach seated Leyland Olympians replacing Bristol VRs. Olympian 1503 (YPJ503Y) was displayed at what is thought to be a Southsea Rally when new sandwiched appropriately between a Thames Valley Lodekka and an Aldershot & District Loline.

Quite what 1504 (YPJ504Y) was doing hanging out with these nationals and VRs is unknown. It is thought to be in Luton with a freshly painted privatised Luton & District VR alongside on a rather wet day back in the eighties.

Olympian 1510 (B578LPE) has survived in preservation and was seen at the London Bus Preservation Group's April 2011 rally at Dunsfold.
