School buses in Ireland have been a phenomenon alien to the UK, but have produced some interesting vehicles over the years. Seen at Showbus 97, SS90 (EZL90) is a Duffy bodied Bedford VAS5, purpose built for the job. Other vehicles are often cascaded from the main CIE fleet, often gaining an S in their fleet number in the process. Most interesting are probably the recently imported Volvo AB57s with New Zealand Motor Bodies coachwork after a life time of service with Singapore Bus Services.
