Working for Arriva South London DLA336 (LG52DCZ) is seen in the summer of 2007 and was amongst the last of the type to be built for Arriva London. The final delivery was DLA388 in May 2003.
Whilst the DLA class may have finished delivery in 2003, the Alexander ALX400 body was delivered on batches of Volvo B7TL, while Wrights bodied more DAF deckers. Volvo VLA52 (LJ53BBK) is seen in October 2003 when only a month old.
Sister vehicle VLA41 (LJ53BCO) is seen on a wet Euston Station forcourt, also in October 2003. It appears to be operated by Arriva! Note one of the last Olympians behind the second ALX400.
Still in October rain: VLA33 (LJ53BDY).
The late 2005 deliveries of new B7TL/ALX400s for the 159 were quite noticeable, being the first deliveries to Arriva in all red livery with the gold edged advert frames and the buses to see off London's last major Routemaster route. They were also a contrast from the Brighton & Hove style liveried Routemasters used distinctively on the route some years earlier. Heading for Streatham Hill is VLA151 (LJ55BUE).
