 The new generation of the DW class is shown here by DW343 (LJ59ACV) heading for Homerton on the 242 in Autumn 2009 when only a few weeks old. The bus is a Wright integral, but the DW classification belies the fact that it is built on major components from the VDL DB300 chassis.

 The difference in fleet numbers between DW226 above and DW422 here shows just how many of these integral deckers, based on VDL components have arrived in London. Relatively few have found service elsewhere, other than some with provincial Arriva companies. Seen on layover near victoria in July 2011 DW422 (LJ11ACX) was only two months old. It is dressed in the new standard London unrelieved red livery, but still retains gold trim round the advert frame.
