London Country North West Olympians were temporarily displaced from duties with Arriva the Shires by dual door ECW bodied Olympians rendered surplus from the Arriva fleets in the capital. Former L211 (D211FYM) is seen with former L31 (C31CHM) and LCNW LR92 (G292UMJ), now 5122, in the temporary parking area outisde Wycombe Bus Station during inital town centre reconstruction in October 2005. Though the London buses have no blinds fitted, a piece of paper in the window shows D211 has been at work on town service 326. |
Olympian L36, renumbered 5851 (C36CHM), in October 2005 leaving Wycombe Bus Station with a blind capable of showing the Lane End destination if nothing else.
Former L168 (D168FYM) - now 5855 - with a full set of blinds, albeit not used, in Wycombe in May 2004 on a school run down Marlow Hill.
Either the blind has jammed on this view of 5851 or the driver has got ahead of himself. The bus is passing Wycombe Town Hall on December 23rd 2005, which is not the route to Great Missenden.
Former L166 (D166FYM) is seen in the Grange School Coach Park in Aylesbury. The bus is on route to Thame and will pick up members of the general public in Aylesbury Bus Station and anywhere else on route to Thame. The photo was taken at the end of the Summer Term in 2006.
