Taking centre stage at SHOWBUS international 2001 was VLW5 (LJ51DJO), a newly delivered Volvo B7TL with the eye-catching Wright Eclipse Gemini doubledeck body. Arriva was the first operator to take delivery of the stunning Eclipse Gemini and SHOWBUS afforded many their first opportunity to view this new model. |
The rear styling is captured in this view of VLW5 with its 'hint of Oxford' registration. |
The upper deck interior of the Gemini decker as seen in a model in service, approaching Wood Green from the south.

One of the delivery of Volvo B7TL/Wrights has been delivered to the Leaside Travel division. It was seen at the 2003 Southsea Spectacular with blinds for school service 683.

A pair of Geminis (Gemini Geminis?) pass each other in a congested Wood Green High Street. Roadworks spilling off the footpath had barriers positioned thoughtlessly so that it was virtually impossible for two buses to pass! Notice the simple '30' fleet number on the front dash of VLW30 (LJ51DHK) - a device introduced with the new registration system which fails to readily identify a fleet number from a registration. |
