Seen in February 2011 with some brave souls on the top deck is One of Big Bus' first buses bought new for London Sightseeing work after several generations of second life London and Hong Kong examples, not forgetting the original East Kent Regent which bequeathed its livery to the entire operation. DA202 (PF08URR) was the second of ten Volvo B9TL open toppers delivered a bit late in the summer of 2008 (August) with East Lancs Visionaire bodies. The last three (DA208-210) had fully open top bodywork. |
Seen in equally gloomy weather in early May 2012 is DA325 (PN10FOJ) from a smaller batch of three axle Volvos delivered in time for the summer season in March 2010. Besides the extra axle resulting in DA3xx fleet numbers, these Visionaire bodies are badged Optare after the reverse takeover by East Lancs. |
The route from the Tower of London sweeps under several bridges, Optare Visionaire two axle Volvo DA215 (PN09EOD) emerges at Blackfriars with a full top deck in September 2017.
