Some may recall the collapsing Tesco store disaster at Gerrards Cross. The controversial store was being built over the local Chiltern Trains line into Marylebone, when the structure collapsed. This put the line out of use for some months occasioning substantial loss of business payments to the railway from the store developers. It also put a lot of money into the pockets of various bus companies providing replacement bus services. Former LT M809 (OJD809Y) is seen at Wycombe Station. |
