Seen at Showbus in 1997 is MB641 (AML641H) one of the few survivors of around 1500 Swifts and Merlins delivered to LT and LCBS. This was one of central area Merlin class, but the rarer single door version. The bus has been a SHOWBUS regular for many years thanks to preservationist Brian Nash.

Three years later MB641 was at Millennium Showbus.

A good view of MB641 a year later at SHOWBUS. |

In 2002 MB641 got sandwiched between RF421 and a late entry RLH, believed to be that of Timebus.

Country area Merlins initially saw dual door examples on busy town services. The exception being prototype Strachans bodied XMB15, which saw use for many years on the quiet town service in Tring.
Here preserved MB90 is seen visiting Slough on the occasion of the 2011 running day doing a short run on the 441 to Windsor. |
