RTL1050 (LLU829) was owned by Ted Brakell and hired to the Hillingdon Show Society to promote the show in the locality. It is seen here with former Brighton, Hove & District, and latterly Thames Valley, open top Bristol K CAP211, preserved by Neville Dawson Smith. Both are parked up in the centre of Uxbridge to publicise the Hillingdon Show - and Showbus. |

In the wake of Christchurch's earthquake a number of pop up stalls bridged the gap while reconstruction was taking place. Former RTL68 (JXN391), on its fourth Park Royal body, but first with a roof box fitted in 1964, is being used as the "Hop on Hop off Chocolate Cafe". The bus had left London Transport service for White City Coaches in 1968, passing to Ted Brakell for semi-preservation in 1974. It was not until 1993 that it headed Down Under.
