 Harloe was a hot bed of competition with a number of new independent bus companies snapping at the heals of Arriva the Shires. One such in August 2012 was SM Coaches using former Stagecoach East London SLD290 (LX51FFW), later 34290. |
 Turning into Harlow Bus Station the same day is ex Selkent SLD326 (LK51FHH), later 34326. |

 When SLD250 was registered things were beginning to go awry with the new 51 plates looming and this former Selkent ALX200 bodied Dart SLF became Y349FJN. The bus is seen in Watford in July 2017 working anonymously for Aylesbury based Red Eagle. When it left Stagecoach it was numbered 34250 and after a spell in all over red, it was repainted with cream around the windows and half way down the panels.
