Northumbria 392 (N392OTY) arrives in Newcastle on the X11. The vehicle is a glimpse of what might
have been before the group passed into Arriva control. The distinctive East Lancs bodywork on Scania
chassis was pioneered by Northumbria.

263 was the concurrent style of singledeck delivery - also an East Lancs/Scania combination. This
singledeck model is to be found in other Arriva fleets. 263 is leaving a bus layover area in Newcastle
|
  |
Northumbria also enjoyed large deliveries of MCW and Optare Metroriders and this Mark IV model was
amongst the last to be delivered.
|
  |
DAF/Optare Delta singledeckers also feature strongly in the Northumbria undertaking and this one was
thus transferred with the rest of its fellows, within the Arriva group, from Crosville where it was a
minority choice.

  |
No former NBC fleet would be complete without ECW bodied Olympians and Northumbria is no exception.
At one time it transferred a number of such vehicles to its sister fleet Kentish Bus for use on London
services.
