The occasion of the Golden Jubilee and Showbus' first Gold Run. Leading the parade was 79, under its own steam, though it usually travels down from Aberdeen on the back of a low loader. Alongside is Bournemouth's East Lancs Cabryolet bodied Golden Jubilee Volvo B7TL, 431 (HJ02HFB).

Also part of the Golden Jubilee parade was Aberdeen's Volvo B7TL 137 (X137NSS) with Alexander ALX400 bodywork. Alongside is Stagecoach East's Lodekka 553 and two buses from the now defunct Phoenix Travel school bus fleet - all in Jubilee schemes.

First Aberdeen Fords of althorne Daimler Fleetline
This 1970 Daimler Fleetline/Alexander ended up with Fords of Althorne. In 2002 the bus was collected from Fords to be restored in the heritage fleet of First Aberdeen. The opportunity was taken to display the vehicle at SHOWBUS. Hopefully it will return one day in full Aberdeen livery.

A sightly older former Aberdeen Atlantean, as the livery shows it had been used giving open top rides at Woolacombe Bay in Devon. The former Atlantean PDR1/1 114 (GRS114E) lost the roof of its Alexander body many years ago. The old Aberdeen Corporation bus had almost found its way home. It is seen in the capable hands of Showbus judge, Andrew Reid, tasked with taking Cup winning Kelty Hearts footy team on their open top victory parade in June 2015.
