A pleasant and unexpected entry at SHOWBUS was Peter Newman's RLH. Peter, the man behind
Ensignbus, had been presented with the bus as a birthday present by his family, who had
repatriated it from the United States. The American registration is still visible. The bus
is from the second batch of RLHs, which for London in 1952 were more or less standard
provincial vehicles. The important thing for the capital was that their 53 seat Weymann bodies
were lowbridge. The majority saw use in the country area in green livery, but RLH61 (MXX261)
was a central area red bus.
