It was Stagecoach's 25th birthday, but we did not wish to detract from our sponsor's - First -
tenth anniversay, especially as they have supported us for all ten years. The occasion did
however attract more than 25 Stagecoach vehicles, so many in fact that the plan to put both
Stagecoach and Arriva buses against the A505 hedge was thwarted so they ended up facing the
Stagecoach contingent. Other Stagecoach vehicles were to be found elsewhere on site, including
East's ex Eastern Counties Lodekka with the Bristols and Concorde
display, Wales' Red & White
B10M with the Plaxton display and Oxford's Tube with the Neoplan line up.
The line up here is headed by the non-corporate liveried vehicles. |

Local Stagecoach Cambridge put on an excellent display of the vehicles used on the Park & Ride
services in the city, which are colour coded according to the site they serve. Arriving here
are blue, red and coffee coloured examples. All the buses are early ex London Dennis
Tridents with Alexander ALX400 bodies, leading is former TA10 (S810BWC).

The first Stagecoach Trident was also present at SHOWBUS and restored to its original
condition - TA1 (S801BWC) - seen here leaving the event with the first Titan, T1 just behind.

Also at SHOWBUS from Stagecoach London was one of the last Alexander bodied Volvo Olympians.
16122 (R122EVX), in full Stagecoach London livery, appears confined to London school runs now.
Coming into the airside strip is Go-Ahead's Brighton, Hove & District KSW - a SHOWBUS regular -
with Chalfont Coaches Van Hool Volvo tucked in behind 16122.
