Six years ago, Wycombe based independent Carousel Buses caused something of a stir when they started an express service, the A40, between their home town and Heathrow Airport. The stir was focused on the three silver Mercedes Citaros purchased, MB51-53 (CB51-3CBS). The service has been surprisingly successful as it sticks rigidly to the A40 road between Wycombe and Uxbridge, without diverting to more directly serve some of the towns on route. Patronage has built and continued support from BAA and Bucks County Council has given the company the impetus to relaunch the service together with an A30 variant linking Amersham and Chesham into the Heathrow network. The three pioneer vehicles have now been painted into Carousel's London red livery and remarketed as Link.

Central Buses Dart
We were grateful to Central Buses for helping out on the Site Shuttle with their Dennis Dart, seen here leaving the Land Warfare Museum terminus and passing Embling's Olympians.
Central Buses
This three axle Scania Omnilink of DRM from Bromyard has been marketed as "Pullman Class Luxury Travel". The bus only seats 53.

Fernhill Travel schoolbus
Fernhill Travel of Bracknell brought along a new shape on our roads which is seen here arriving at SHOWBUS. The bus is a new MAN A91 with Marcopolo body seating no less than 72. As its yellow livery and seating capacity suggests, this bus is aimed squarely at the school bus market. This Fernhill's 2 (PN09CXL).
