Better known are the nine "Seadog" class of Metro-Cammell bodied Leyland Atlanteans of 1961. They were individually named Admiral Blake, Sir Francis Drake, Sir Martin Frobisher, Sir Humphrey Gilbert, Sir Richard Grenville. Sir John Hawkins, Sir Thomas Howard, Earl Howe and Sir Walter Raleigh. Over half are still in existence. This is Admiral Blake, 925 (MSJ499), seen at the August 2015 Bristol Bus Rally at Brislington. The bus was originally registered 925GTA.

Sir Martin Frobisher has ended up with the Big Red Bus Company and is avaiable for hire. Its enthusiastic owners temper that with attendance at special events and it is seen in Reading in June 2018 participating in a Runnning Day organised by the Thames Valley and Great Western Omnibus Trust in the presence of a former Reading Corporation Dennis Loline, 76 (GRD576D). Sir Martin used to be 927 (927GTA), but has sadly lost its original registration in favour of 724XUW.
