Once Bristol Omnibus C5103, PHY697S is now First Devon & Cornwall 38597. Still doing yeoman service in May 2005, it is seen again arriving in Truro on the 89 service between Newquay and Falmouth. The bus was at one time converted to single door, this is more obvious when seen from the offside where the decency panel is still midside with the staircase. Sadly the VR is looking a trifle care worn.

Bristol VR 38872 (LFJ872W), originally Western National 1225, is also seen in May 2005 at Tregustick Holiday Park, Newquay, terminus of a summer only service.

In May 2005 Bristol VRs were still sharing the Torpoint ferry service with the new Tamar Link pink Tridents. This VR approaches the ferry terminal on the Plymouth side.
