This is a real gem in the Wythall collection, a 1913 Tilling-Stevens TTA2 which served with both Midland Red and Birmingham Corporation. New to the former, in 1914 Midland Red and Birmingham Corporation struck a deal whereby Midland Red would only run services to points outside the City and the Corporation restricted its activities to inside the City - what would the competition authorities have to say about thatthese days!. As part of the deal 30 double-deckers passed to Birmingham Corporation Tramways including O9926 which ran in Corporation colours until 1924 when the body was sold to be discovered as a garden shed by a Nottingham enthusiast many years later. BaMMoT reunited with a Tilling-Stevens chassis, but sadly not a TTA2, the search continues.

 After its life transporting passengers, former D7 4767 (767BHA), built in 1957 was rebuilt as a recovery tender. The now preserved vehicle is seen at an open day at Tamworth depot in August 2018.

 In 1974 Midland Red took over the fleet of Harper Brothers of Heath Hayes consolidating operations in the Cannock area. The fleet included some fine Leyland Titans and what became 2225 (SBF233) was later transformed into this recovery vehicle, the PD2/28's Northern Counties body mutilated beyond recognition. The vehicle is now in BaMMot's collection, along with a later complete MCW bodied Titan PD2A/27 restored to Harper Brothers livery. |
 Another bus that came from Harpers was one of the pair of ECW bodied Daimler Fleetlines, an earlier pair of Northern Counties bodied examples joined the Midland Red fleet. This one has Chaserider branding, from the Market Analysis Project (MAP), which was applied to vehicles operating out of Stafford and Cannock depots. The bus is seen at the NEC on a car park shuttle around about the time the company was split into five.
