Ex Maidstone & District Bristol VR SKL684X
Blenheim Palace is a popular out of city tourist destination and a pleasant country drive, particularly from the top deck of an open topper. This ex Maidstone & District VR was once dedicated to the service.

After some initial odd plans to revive services tat died years ago, Oxfordhire used its Rural Bus Grant imaginatively in Bicester with dedicated taxibus services linking rural villages to Chiltern Trains reliable London commuter services from Bicester North Station. This Ford Transit, OE51KKC, is seen arriving at the Station in 2004.

Of a similar nature, this Mercedes is seen in central Oxford in October 2003 on Ring & Ride services.

AERE Oxford Bus Company Leyland Olympian
This bus was a secondhand purchase by City of Oxford and is seen with its original owner in Abingdon. The ECW bodied Leyland Olympian was owned by the UKAEA at Harwell and replaced, with others, an earlier fleet of VRs. The batch was bought by Oxford and ended their days with the company's Wycombe Bus division.

AERE Bristol VR ECW
RAN645R is one of those Bristol VRs, also seen in Abingdon, some years earlier working for the UK Atomic Energy Authority.
