Lincolnshire's love of lightweight buses for its largely flat operating territory continued with the Bristol LH, though they had 6 cylinder Leyland engines. ECW bodied LH6L 1045 (SVL830R) is seen at SHOWBUS 2001.
|
The LH is seen again at SHOWBUS 2007 alongside a narrower BN class LH for London Country, BN45 (GPD313N). |
At SHOWBUS 2008 1056 was part of an impressive line up of LHs, seen here between Eastern National 1103 (UVX7S) and London Country BN45 with Plaxton coach bodied examples from Greenslades and Yorkshire Pullman further along. |
The break up of the National Bus Company through up a few oddities, including this short lived subsidiary of Lincolnshire, East Notts, which still had Lincolnshire in small letters as a boot strap to the new fleetname. Former Northern General Leyland National 30L (MCN830L) is seen as East Notts 2800 in Sheffield Bus Station in the mid to late eighties. |
