By 2006 the Traction Group, including Road Car, had been acquired by Stagecoach. That brought this unusual combination of Wright bodied Volvo B7TL into the Scottish group's fleet in the shape of 16944 (FX06AOF), a newly delivered decker in a special livery for for Linconshire's Coastal Connect service.

Rocking up at SHOWBUS 2008 was 16917 (FX05GXP), delivered as Road Car 917 in a version of the Coastal Connect red, yellow and green livery, but then was painted into this advert for Marie Curie Cancer Care Nurses, but retaining Stagecoach livery on the front.
The bus is seen later on in the day in the Stagecoach Group display.
Maintaining the tradition of specially liveried buses attending SHOWBUS, this Alexander Dennis Enviro400 bodied Scania N230UD is seen arriving in 2010 in another Connect services livery, which seems to have been inspired by Stagecoach's royal Golden Jubilee scheme of 2002. This is 15654 (FX10AFU).
